About the message:
This email letter from the Broomfield County Republicans endorses Kimberly Groom in the Broomfield Ward 4 City Council, outlining the reasons the county party supports Groom.
The email also criticizes Jason Anderson, one of three other candidates for the Ward 4 seat: "There is an imposter in our midst. You may have received this same mailer; don't be fooled. Jason Anderson is NOT the candidate the Broomfield County Republicans are backing," the letter reads. It says Anderson supported a recall effort for current Ward 4 Councilman Greg Stokes earlier this year. The recall failed, but Stokes is term limited.
While the email doesn't mention the controversy in Broomfield over oil and gas development, it mentions that Anderson's wife Laurie is president of Broomfield Clean Air and Water, a group that opposes such development.
