About the message:
This mailer from the Partnership for America's Health Care Future opposing a public health insurance option arrived on the opening day of the 2020 legislative session when the Democratic-controlled General Assembly will consider enacting such an option. The national nonprofit is an alliance of hospital, insurance and pharmaceutical groups that oppse a single-payer health care system at the state or federal level. The group is also airing TV and digital ads in Colorado opposing the public option.
The mailer claims health care would cost more, hospitals would close and that politicians would control health-care decisions citing reports by a business partnerhip and the Colorado Hospital Association.
Consumer groups are supporting the public option.
