About the message:
This mailer from the Colorado Republican Committee's super PAC criticizes state Rep. Brittany Pettersen, saying she voted against raising funding for schools.
She was one of many House members who voted against budget amendments to increase funding by $150 million for schools, because it would have taken money away from Medicaid reimbursments or the state employee pension program, according to the Denver Post
Pettersen is running for an open state Senate seat in southern Jefferson County against Republican Tony Sanchez.
About the messenger:
The Colorado Republican Party's independent expenditure committee takes unlimited contributions and may spend unlimited amounts. But the committee isn't supposed to coordinate with candidates.
