A speechwriter and communications consultant, Calvarese most recently worked for the National Science Foundation. She has also worked as a speechwriter for the AFL-CIO labor union and as press intern for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders. This is her first time running for office. She lives in Highlands Ranch. She faces two other candidates in the June 25th Primary. She's also running against Greg Lopez in the special election on June 25th.
